Founders view

Sickle Cell-Thalessemia-Hemophilia Mission(STHM)

STHM is founded as a non-profit, non-governmental organization, registered in the year 2018, Reg. no. 41131808632; Dt. 19-11-2018. It got started with commitment to increase the awareness about the disease and its treatment in patients with Thalassemia, sickle cell disease and Hemophilia. All the three diseases are preventable and cure is beyond the scope of an individual. The aim is to restore normalcy in the life of regardless of their financial status and enable access to improved care within the limited resources. Simultaneous, we sensitize public about the disease prevention and encourage voluntary blood donations, boost the knowledge of "right time to act", answer the ignorance by providing enough information about disease, management, cure and its prevention.

The mission got started with strong initiative:

  • a) For care and management of the existing patient
  • b) To prevent further inheritance of these diseases.
Mission and Vision

Mission

To improve the quality of life in existing patients and promote prevention and awareness to decrease the incidence of inherited blood disorders.

Vision

Establish self sufficient and productive people with Disabilities ( PWD ) and walk towards zero blood disorders in the state by 2030.

Objective

  • To aid the treatment and management of hemophilia and thalassemia.
  • To impart and develop social awareness among people of Odisha by organizing awareness camps from time to time.
  • To promote and encourage blood donation camps in Odisha.
  • To organize lectures, discussions, seminars for dissemination of knowledge.

Goal

Healthy and productive thalassemics and disability free hemophilics.

  • Lack of awareness about hemophilia and thalassemia in the society
  • Poor economic status of patients
  • Lack of blood bank support for thalassemics

  • Huge bag between available resources and patients
